Version 4.00 of the finance ontology is published.
Until financing of the ontology development is provided, no more updates are planned.
BROWSING THE ONTOLOGY USING THE HYPERBOLIC TREE (Treebolic)
Procedure:
- Learn the rules of usage:
- A concept is represented by a node.
- Click a node to center it.
- The thesaurus information is found in the information box at the bottom of the window and in the tooltip text.
- Click the radial button in the toolbar if you want to re-centralize around "Thing".
- To mount or unmount the properties of a concept, press CTRL+click on the concept or use the right button menu while selecting a concept
- Start the browser here if you have a newer version of Java. First time you load the ontology, the applet has to be installed (7 MB).
This might take a bit more time. - Get the newest version of Java here if the browser returns an error message.
The tested browsers are IE version 7, Chrome and Firefox for Linux and Windows. - Enjoy the discovery.
Suggestion for teachers: formulate your questions so that the answers can be found
in the hyperbolic tree.
