How to read the OWL documentation
1. Background
The documentation is rendered and transferred to the website.
A similar engine is the one residing on the university of Manchester machines and also accessible.
There are 2 differences with OWL doc:
- The lay-out is different from the Java-style documentation
- The documents are rendered on the fly from the owl file
The contents however will be familiar when acquainted with the OWL doc version discussed in the presentation.
2. Link with other information.
A tutorial is formed when considering this page together with the lexicon-page.
These are sufficient to start reading ontologies.
To work with ontologies one needs to know also about the query-methods.
This will be handled in separate contributions.
To build ontologies other literature is at disposal on several websites.
3. Handling the presentation.
The slides change each 10 seconds.
One can select the necessary slide by pressing the button in the right lower corner.
Some versions of browsers request ActiveX to be approved.
